When I saw that Marta and Sanda were hosting a food and lifestyle photography workshop in Portugal, I knew instantly that I had to book. Truth be told, it was just the impetus I needed to jump on a plane for a new adventure. Having never traveled to Portugal before, I used the workshop as my launching point for an entire month of Portugal exploration.
The workshop and our stay at the amazing Cabeca de Cabra in Porto Covo provided an endless array of scenery, landscapes, textures, food and experiences. New friends became fast friends and the cloudy, thunderstorm weather (which worried me at first!) allowed me to shoot in a completely different style to what I’m used to (hello: bright California sunshine).
Ironically, some of the photos I had the most fun with were lifestyle based…with a 94-year old fisherman stealing this newbie photographer’s heart.
Enjoy this little snapshot of Porto Covo!
